Structural Failure Analysis | Mechanical Overload

Engineering Specialists Inc can also help you if you experience structural failure. There are many different types of failure that can occur:

Mechanical Overload

If something fails due to "Mechanical Overload" it means that a critical component of any structural design has failed in a single event. A common reason something would experience mechanical overload is due to a larger applied load (in either compression or tension) than what is expected or designed for.

Examples

The collapse of a bridge simply because of too much weight is an example of a structural failure because of this mechanism. Specifically, this describes what happens to a specific member or members in that the failure of these directly caused the collapse of the bridge.
